  • Canteen Supervisor (0.71 FTE)

    Are you passionate about food, people, and making a positive difference in a Christian school community? Emmanuel Christian Community School is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Canteen Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our school canteen across our Casserley and Salcott campuses.

    About the Role

    Reporting to the Business Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the school canteen, ensuring the delivery of healthy, nutritious and financially sustainable food services. This role offers the opportunity to shape a welcoming and efficient canteen service that supports the health and wellbeing of our students while leading a small team and contributing to the life of the School. This is a part time position commencing mid-January 2027.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Managing daily canteen operations during school terms.
    • Planning and preparing healthy menu options in line with the WA School Canteen Association Traffic Light System.
    • Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and quality control .
    • Managing stock, ordering and supplier relationships.
    • Coordinating catering for school events across both campuses.
    • Supervising, mentoring and rostering canteen staff.
    • Ensuring efficient operations while maintaining excellent customer service.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

    • Experience managing a school canteen, commercial kitchen or similar food service environment.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills.
    • Sound knowledge of food safety, food hygiene and Work Health and Safety requirements.
    • Experience leading, supervising and supporting staff.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive and customer-focused approach.

    Essential requirements:

    •  be physically capable of undertaking the manual requirements of the role.
    • hold a current C Class Driver’s Licence.
    • current accredited Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
    • current Food Handler Training (or willingness to complete prior to commencement).

    Desirable

    • Completion of All About Allergens training.
    • Experience using the WA School Canteen Association (WASCA) Traffic Light System.

  • Grounds Person (1.0 FTE)

    We invite applications from fit, energetic and motivated individuals to join our team as a Grounds person.

     

    Under the supervision of the Head Grounds person, the successful applicant will assist with the maintenance of grounds, gardens and facilities to ensure a safe, vibrant and clean school environment.

     

    The successful applicant will:

    • Experience in general gardening, cleaning and other labouring tasks.
    • Ability to support the Head Groundsperson with basic building and fixture maintenance.
    • Ability to perform routine maintenance on tools, plant and equipment.
    • Commitment to safe work practices.

  • Finance Officer 1.0 FTE (Parental Leave Cover)

    We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced finance professionals who are called to serve in this role. This is an opportunity to contribute to our Finance department, enabling us to continue to serve this school community. This is a full-time fixed term contract from end September 2026 to September 2027 to provide parental leave cover.

    Your typical day will involve:

    • Maintaining the billing systems, including TASS, MYOB and SchoolPro.
    • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
    • Performing account reconciliations and other financial transactions.
    • Recording and processing invoices, receipts, and account statements.
    • Maintaining accurate accounts receivable records and files.
    • Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial and management reports.
    • Investigating and resolving account discrepancies, irregularities, and enquiries.
    • Providing general accounts office duties and administrative support.

     

    Selection Criteria:

    • Certificate, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping functions.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and empathetically.
    • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Professional and courteous manner when representing the School to parents, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
    • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • High level of self-motivation and initiative.
    • Knowledge of TASS and MYOB would be an advantage
